New Year’s Eve is a time for looking back, forward and at the present. It is the present that most people celebrate on the dawn of a new year. People go to parties, stay at home with a bottle of Champagne enjoying the moment with someone special, or go out to a fine meal.
If you do plan to go out, just know that most good restaurants require reservations and typically run a special prix fixe menu (a menu of multiple courses that are typically fixed to a few selections) as to help with the quality and demand of the evening. It is also the restaurants way of saying thank you for a wonderful year by creating a terrific experience for its patrons. Here are some of the most impressive prix fixe offerings in the Nashua area that I have come across for this upcoming New Years Eve.
Left Bank at Stonehedge Inn & Spa (Tyngsboro, MA) – www.stonehedgeinnandspa.com (Left Bank restaurant, legendary wine list, terrific dishes from Chef Alex Facio) – $125 (6 courses with a surprise)
Bedford Village Inn (Bedford, NH) – www.bedfordvillageinn.com (terrific wine list, fine dining, Corks Wine Bar, The Tavern) – $69 (4 courses)
Unums (Nashua, NH) – www.unums.com - (very thoughtful wine list and I can only imagine what Chef Constantine Brianas has in store!) – $75
Michael Timothy’s (Nashua, NH) – www.michaeltimothys.com – $100 (4 courses with a Champagne toast)
Happy New Year to you all!
Please let us know if you attended New Years at any of these locations and what your experience was like!
